~ This is saying that pretending to be someone you are not because you are insecure of who you are. You can make up a life that's not meant for you. And even though you may feel it fits with your "character" it's not who you are. It's also saying that you are not developing your own character, which is meant to make you prosper by being yourself in many ways.
